With social pressures taking its toll on daily life – Austerity is here! Gregory and Ross find themselves stuck in the routine of the ‘Quiet Era’. It is 25 years since the abolition of sound, all seems calm, nice and silent.. but the pair are rather unwittingly in the midst of a bright and musical discovery. The piece utilises physical comedy and clowning in its exploration of music and sound looking at how it affects ‘us’ when we are with and without it in day to day life. Music’s association with colour will also be considered in this abstract world. A comedic duo of musicians, Fretboard Bird Theatre Company aspire to take their knowledge and love for music further exploring the effect it has on its audience using clowning techniques along with physical comedy in a theatre setting.
