Still, Kate Wasserberg’s cast has plenty of energy, and Skinner is at ease with both Grantham and Westminster vowels, and, by the time she has exited boldly into blazing light, we’re left with the impression of a woman who may have opted too single-mindedly for power – but whose courage and determination is, well, pretty admirable.
