Michael Cabot’s production makes it clear we are all observers to the horrors that unfold. Played out in a semi-circular amphitheatre, the cast providing a silent chorus when not performing, supplemented by an ever present equine presence, realised chillingly by Kerry Bradley’s half dozen metal horse masks. The masks themselves take on an ethereal quality, lit by Paul Green to take on a life of their own.
