Designer's notes:
The West Coast premiere of Jesus Hates Me is lit by a fairly conventional rig including Altman 6x9 and 6x12 ERS fixtures, Altman 8'' Fresnels, PAR 64's, PAR 20's and Altman Borderlights in addition to several practicals. Effects include red beacons, a Mega-Flash strobe unit, and numerous strands of Christmas lights. Color and texture are provided by 6 SGM Palco Colourchangers and Rosco colorizer gobos. I programmed the show on an ETC Express 24/48 console.
Press quotes
That they surmount their Southern Gothic contours is a testament to Oanh Nguyen's detailed direction, an impressive design effort, K.C. Wilkerson's lighting (a show in itself) and the wonderful cast.
David C. Nichols, The Los Angeles Times 11/02/2009
'Lighting Design by KC Wilkerson (is) outstanding and adds immeasurably to the show''
Joyce Rosenthal, The Fullerton Observer 16/02/2009
'KC Wilkerson’s vivid lighting design includes a particularly dazzling moment in which the audience suddenly finds itself surrounded by multi-colored lights''
Steven Stanley, Stage Scene LA 10/02/2009
