Jack Holloway discovered his love for the technical aspect of theatre, particularly lighting, at the young age of twelve. He was given an opportunity to operate the lights in his local amateur dramatics society, called "Pratts Bottom Dramatics Society," which ignited his passion for the craft. By the time he turned fifteen, Jack had already started his own company called Lightrics, providing lighting and sound services for small to medium-scale events. This experience further fueled his aspirations, leading him to pursue Technical Theatre training at the BRIT school.

After successfully graduating from the BRIT school, Jack continued his journey and studied a BA in lighting design at Rose Bruford. Over the past five years, Jack has worked as a freelance lighting designer and technician. This diverse range of work has enabled him to keep up-to-date with the latest technology and skills within the lighting industry while ensuring that his designs remain fresh and unique. Jack takes immense pride in his work, and his professionalism guarantees that each production he works on is finished to a high standard.

Press quotes

Peter Pan

Although Pratts Bottom Dramatic Society is the only group in Bromley Borough to have performed an annual pantomime over the past half century, its January 2023 performance brought to the local community a level of all-round excellence which, like the story itself, was quite literally out of this world. Take a bow lighting and sound designer Jack Holloway for a display of truly West End quality sound and lighting effects which more than enhanced a company of immense talent both young and old.
Brian McEwan, 02/02/2023

Who Deserves Greatness

Congratulations to the cast and technical crew of Who Deserves Greatness; an engaging and sensitive devised production by European Theatre Arts students, directed by Nuria Legard Andueza and performed in the Barn Theatre at Rose Bruford College. Wonderful lighting and sound!
Michael O'Reilly, 15/12/2017

Pornography

The sound of the underground which greeted the audience as they entered Downe Village Hall effectively set the scene, enhanced by the clever use of bulkhead light fittings mounted on the front of the stage sequenced to suggest the movement of the trains through a station. Simple details like Mind the Gap painted on the floor, an underground sign projected on the back flat and tape in green and yellow across the top of the flat helped establish the fact that we were on the District and Circle Line, whilst the As You Like It poster was an amusing touch as the programme notes informed us of the link between the play and Jacques ‘Seven Ages of Man’ speech. Nonetheless this play was simply staged with a screen, chairs and a table - it was the words not the scenery which had to paint the pictures.
Caroline Jenner, Sardines Magazine 22/04/2016

Terrorism

I thought the technical aspects of the production were outstanding.
Arthur Rochester, Bromley Theatre Guild 19/04/2014
