Chauvet Acquires LiteGear, Launches Chauvet Cinema Group

In a move that continues to expand its capabilities to offer complete lighting solutions, Chauvet has announced that it has acquired LiteGear, a leading manufacturer of film and broadcast LED systems. Together with Chauvet's Kino Flo brand, the Burbank, CA-based company will form the new Chauvet Cinema Group, which will be led by industry veteran Mike Wagner.

Founded in 2006, LiteGear has established a stellar reputation in its industry for its innovative and reliable products, including its widely acclaimed LiteMat series of lightweight color-corrected lighting solutions for film and television productions.

The company will maintain its brand identity, culture, and strong industry connections while expanding its product range under the Chauvet umbrella. Mike Bauman and Al DeMayo two of LiteGear's founders will continue to take active roles in product development, working closely with the film community to ensure the continued release of advanced lighting solutions.

"The acquisition of LiteGear, combined with our existing Kino Flo brand, positions us to better serve the cinema lighting industry and expand our presence in it," said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. "We're excited to leverage the decades of experience that these two renowned brands represent to achieve amazing results and address the evolving technological challenges faced by on-set technicians. Our aim is to assemble the industry's most skilled team to tackle current and future technological challenges in cinematic lighting."

Industry veteran Mike Wagner, who has been a key contributor to the development of many breakthrough products, will head the Chauvet Cinema Group.  Looking to the future of the new venture, he stated: "Our objective is clear -- we are developing a new playbook to become the market leader in cinematic lighting. By combining the strengths of LiteGear and Kino Flo under the Chauvet umbrella, we're poised to deliver unparalleled innovation and value to our customers."

This sense of excitement is shared by the entire Chauvet, Kino Flo and LiteGear teams, all of whom are looking forward to developing new comprehensive lighting solutions across various sectors of the entertainment industry.
