City Theatrical Launches RGBI QolorFlex LED Tape

City Theatrical has announced the launch of a new RGBI QolorFlex LED tape developed for professional lighting designers who often need deeper blue accents, backgrounds, and shadings in set lighting. City Theatrical’s RGBI LED tape alternates a 5050 RGB chip with a 450nm indigo chip, giving extra powerful, deep blue output.

The QolorFlex RGBI strip gives designers the blue that is typically found in an RGB or RGBX (RGB + amber, RGB +white, etc.) strip, plus an additional even brighter and deeper indigo circuit.

Standard RGB LED chips contain one emitter each of red, green, and blue. In QolorFlex RGBI LED tape, the indigo chip contains three indigo emitters for extra powerful, bright, deep indigo output.

City Theatrical’s RGBI QolorFlex LED tape was created for Tony Award winning lighting designer Ken Posner’s upcoming Broadway show War Paint, with a set by David Korins which highly utilises QolorFlex RGBI LED tape.

QolorFlex LED tape is the choice of lighting professionals who value its brightness, colour consistency, quality, and reliability. QolorFlex LED tape is used on Broadway and West End shows and tours, network television shows and architectural lighting installations. Some recent productions include The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Late Night With Seth Meyers, The Today Show, Maya and Marty, Best Time Ever, The Amazing Spiderman 2, Superbowl Halftime Report, CNBC Presidential Debate, An Act Of God, Blackbird, Beautiful: The Carol King Musical andOn your Feet.
