Rachel E Cleary
Biography
Rachel has experience designing lighting for plays, musicals and pantomimes in professional and youth theatre. Rachel has also recently completed the ALD Lumiere scheme where she assisted for lighting designers Peter Mumford, Neil Austin, Rick Fisher and Prema Mehta going on to work on The Ferryman with Peter Mumford at The Royal Court and Gielgud theatre. Rachel has also worked in Live Music, video designing content for Shane Filan's Right Here Tour, vision mixing and camera director for Madness Grandslam Tour. She is highly motivated and works hard to achieve goals. Enjoying a challenge she is a fast learner with existing knowledge of various equipment and applications used within the industry. The talented lighting designer has returned to Buxton Opera House - where she cut her teeth in the theatre business - and is currently working on the venue’s biggest-selling event of the year, the annual pantomime. You can always trust the team behind the Buxton Opera House pantomime to come up with a cracker of a show and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is no exception. It’s a sparkling production celebrating all the traditions of panto with panache and it certainly thrilled the cheering and clapping youngsters in the audience.
