Sydney based, Nick Schlieper has designed extensively for all the major performing companies in Australia. He has an especially long association with the Sydney Theatre Company, for whom he has designed over 100 productions. He regularly works in Europe, particularly in Germany. His work has also been seen on the West End, at the RSC and on Broadway, as well as at the Lincoln Center and BAM in NY and the Kennedy Center in Washington. He was resident guest lecturer in lighting design at the Bavarian State Theatre Academy in Munich for 11 years and has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Helpmann Award on five occasions.
