As an International Lighting Designer Michael has been lighting productions world wide since he started his career at the Yvonne Arnauld Theatre, Guildford, in 1972.

Working with some of top international Designers he has a vast experience of all types of venue for live events, small regional theatres to vast international stage, convention rooms to theme parks, concert halls to open air arenas.

Based in the UK Michael has been Lighting Designer on an extensive range of productions including small intimate plays, large scale musicals, modern ballet, opera corporate events, concerts, and out door spectaculars.

Recent Corporate designs have kept him busy in London, Birmingham, Manchester as well as Saint Petersburg and Cape Town.

His recent International Theatre designs include: Saturday Night Fever, Stage Holdings in the Netherlands. Hurrem Sultan Dance Project for Hurrem Sultam Produksyion, Istanbul Guldestan, for the State Opera and Ballet Company of Turkey, Footloose Germany Tour. The Opening Concert of the 30th Hellenic Festival in Athens 2005.

Recent UK designs include: the 30th Anniversary production of The Rocky Horror Show, ATG Ltd; Theatre Lighting Consultant for We Will Rock You, Dominion Theatre; Dr Livingstone I Presume? Riverside Studios; the regional tour of Smoky Joe's Cafe, The Rocky Horror Show, Birmingham Rep and national tour; Richard O'Brien's musical Disgracefully Yours in London and New York; Great Expectations UK Tour, Smoking with Lulu, Soho Theatre and West Yorkshire Playhouse; Bouncers, Churchill Theatre and national tour and Blithe Spirit, West Yorkshire Playhouse.

Michael has lit many high profile events including the stage presentations of Mulan, in Disneyland Paris, and the stage presentation which also preceded the movie’s European launch. He also lit the Millennium event at Disneyland Paris and events at Alton Towers.

He has worked as Associate Lighting Designer for Disney' Theatrical on Beauty and the Beast in the UK, Germany and Mexico. Their production of Aida in South Korea and Germany. He is the Associate LD on their production of Tarzan that has just opened In Hamburg.

He has been Associate LD on Phantom of the Opera since the original London Production. Over the last four years he has worked on the productions in Shanghi, Sao Parlo, Seoul, Las Vegas, Singapore, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
