Andy Martin’s interest in theatre production started whilst at school and then moved on professionally in 1991. Based at the Theatre Royal Plymouth between 1993 and 2001.

With over 120 lighting designs to date which include With over 120 lighting designs to date which include: A Man for All Seasons, Stepping Out, Follow the Star, Half A Sixpence, Spring Awakening, Can’t Pay Won’t Pay, Great Expectations, Rashamon, Oedipus, The Hired Man, The Three penny Opera, The Secret Garden, Titanic, A Grand Night for Singing, The Music Man and As You Like It, Dazzle, along with many revues, events and pantomimes.

Most recent productions include: The Music Man, Little Shop of Horrors, Ellergies and Les Miserables(schools edition), Jeykll and Hyde, Thoughly Modern Milly and The Scarlet Pimpernel.

He has also lit many new premier theatre productions such as Artistic License, The Devil in Drag, The American Dream, Where Are You Gone Jimmy Trevenna, Speak After The Beep, Will Self’s Cock and Bull, Attik Dance’s Tangled, Snow Monkey's for the Barbican Theatre Plymouth and Kettleboys and Captains for the Keay Theatre St Austell, Cornwall
